Extra Fine

An abrasive finish with a unidirectional grain generally produced with an aluminium oxide abrasive through a variety of stages developed for critical applications on Hot Rolled plates and profiles.

On standard hot rolled plate an Extra Fine finish would produce a surface roughness of approximately 0.4µm Ra conforming to the BS EN 10088-2 1K Finish.

We can apply an Extra Fine finish onto the following products.

Plate, Flat & Square bar, Blanks, Lasercut profiles

Please be aware that the above refers to the finish produced on hot rolled plate. On other products different readings may result depending on the performance of the substrate.
